Sales of Petroleum Products

Gazprom Neft is deeply involved in the wholesale and retail sale of those petroleum products produced at its refineries, including gasoline, diesel fuel, automotive lubricants and engine oils, jet fuel, and bituminous materials.

In 2012 the Company became the largest supplier of light petroleum products in Russia, with a total market share of 21.6 percent. Sales of petroleum products in the domestic market grew to 25.2 million tonnes in 2012.

The Company’s retail network consists of 1,609 filling stations throughout Russia, the CIS and Europe. As at early 2013, Gazprom Neft filling stations in Russia and the CIS totalled 1,265. A 2013 study by global market research company Nielsen found that a quarter of all Russian motorists refer to Gazprom Neft as their preferred filling station network.

Sales of petroleum products through the Company’s filling station network in Russia grew by 34 percent in 2012, to 6.6 million tonnes. Average petroleum product sales per filling station increased by 24 percent, to 17.7 tonnes per day.

Four of Gazprom Neft’s international subsidiaries operate filling station networks throughout the CIS, in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. In 2012 Gazprom Neft-branded filling stations also began operating in Ukraine.

In the Balkans, Gazprom Neft’s filling stations are represented under the brands NIS Petrol and GAZPROM.

Jet fuel sales are the responsibility of Gazpromneft-Aero. Gazpromneft Marine Bunker is responsible for sales of bunker fuel, and Gazpromneft Lubricants markets lubricants and engine oils. These subsidiaries operate in Russia, the CIS and other international markets.
