Sales of petroleum products
Gazprom Neft sells refined products such as gasoline, jet fuel, diesel fuel, motor oils, bitumen, and other petroleum products manufactured by its own companies to wholesale and retail markets.
The high quality of products and a developed distribution network are the driving forces behind the Company’s leading position in the domestic petroleum products market. In 2010, the total sales of Gazprom Neft petroleum products in the internal market grew by 17% year on year and totalled 20.5 million tons.
The Company is systematically expanding its own distribution network and increasing its share of the domestic and international petroleum products markets, through continuous investment in modernising refining facilities and extension of its network of gas stations.
Sales structure
Gazprom Neft sells most of its petroleum products in Russia and neighbouring countries through its 20 subsidiaries. Sixteen of them are retail distribution companies, selling petroleum products both wholesale and retail through gas stations.
Gazprom Neft has four foreign companies operating the Company's gas stations in the customs union countries: Gazprom Neft-Kazakhstan LLP, Gazprom Neft-Tajikistan LLC, Gazprom Neft Asia LLC in Kyrgyzstan, and Gazprom Neft-Belnefteprodukt FLLC in Belarus. In 2010, they sold 1.162 mln tons of petroleum products.
Three special business units sell individual kinds of petroleum products: CJSC Gazprom Neft-Aero sells jet fuel; Gazprom Neft-Lubricants LLC sells oils and lubricants; and Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker LLC sells bunker fuels. Each of these companies operates in various regions of Russia, CIS and non-CIS countries.
In 2010, Gazprom Marine Bunker was one of the leaders in the domestic bunker market, with total sales amounting to 1.464 mln tons. The Company has the most extensive geographic coverage among all Russian bunker companies, and offers fuel to ship owners in all key sea and river ports of the Russian Federation, as well as a number of foreign countries.
Gazprom Neft-Aero sells jet fuel at Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Pulkovo airports, as well as the airports of Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Murmansk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Bryansk and Chita. The Company is the leader in the market of jet fuel retail sales among network companies, and is ranked second for jet fuel supplies to the internal Russian market.
Gazprom Neft-Lubricants is the only vertically integrated manufacturer of oils in Russia. It owns production assets in Western Siberia (Omsk), the European part of Russia (Yaroslavl), and Western Europe (Bari, Italy). Last year, the volume of production and sales of oils amounted to 434,000 tons.
