Packaged Oil Domestic Retaling Dynamics in RF in 2009-2010

In 2010, Gazprom Neft-Lubricants increased its share of the Russian fuel market to 13 percent. The Company's sales structure changed substantially: the sales of packaged oils increased by 29 percent, while the sales of premium products which comply with international specifications grew by 31 percent. This is a result of a strategic transformation of the Company from a primary producer to a client-oriented marketing company producing high margin commercial oils.

The Company has launched more than 37 new products, primarily within the premium industrial range: the lines of Gazpromneft Hydraulics, Gazpromneft Reductor, Gazpromneft Compressor, Gazpromneft Slide Way, and Gazpromneft Paper Machine oils are approved by the world’s leading equipment manufacturers.

Gazpromneft Hydraulic

In July 2009, the first products under the Gazpromneft brand were manufactured at the Gazpromneft Lubricants Italia S.p.A. plant. Currently, the plant produces 20 product items, including synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral oils for cars (Gazpromneft Motor Oil product line), semi-synthetic and mineral oils for commercial transport (Gazpromneft Super Oil product line), industrial oils (Gazpromneft Hydraulic, Reductor, and Circulating Oils), and lubricants (Grease L, Grease L Moly, and Metal Grease product lines).

SibiMotor Extra oil

It took Gazprom Neft-Lubricants two years to develop and implement a specific action plan to expand the line of oil products and update the SibiMotor brand. The Company launched a number of new modern products, and upgraded the formula quality using state-of-the-art imported technology and components. The SibiMotor Extra oils demonstrate improved operational performance as per SL/CF Class under the generally accepted API classification. Diesel oils also underwent quality changes. The Company released two new products for modern engines in commercial vehicles: SibiMotor Diesel Premium 10W-40 and SibiMotor Diesel Premium 15W-40. These quality changes were approved by such reputed automakers as Mercedes Benz, MAN, KAMAZ, and YaMZ.

G-Energy motor oil

In April 2010, the Company introduced G-Energy, a new brand of motor oils. G-Energy motor oils are manufactured by the Company's European production facility in the city of Bari (Italy). The brand’s product line includes synthetic and semi-synthetic oils that meet the requirements of international automakers. The G-Energy brand covers the products designed for present-day European, American and Japanese cars and commercial vehicles. Currently, the G-Energy product range comprises over 40 items, including a special line of oils for car-care services. The sales of G-Energy products were launched simultaneously in Russia and Europe.
