This year sees another chapter in the history of the Gazprom Neft Cup. The tournament has, once again, raised its status, becoming a genuinely international competition not just in terms of its participants, but also in terms of its geographical coverage.
But, wherever they’re playing, for them the essence of the tournament remains unchanged: testing their strengths in a nail-biting contest against their peers from the strongest clubs in Russia and Europe, a springboard for further development in the sport, and the opportunity to prove themselves in one of the most significant youth hockey tournaments on the continent.
As always, the tournament is also a breathtaking spectacle — and one which, thanks to direct transmission, sports fans can enjoy not just in Omsk and Minsk but far beyond the borders of Russia and Belarus.
The Gazprom Neft Cup is an outstanding example of business and community working in partnership and has, over the years, become one of the best youth hockey tournaments in Europe.
