Matches in the 8th Gazprom Neft Cup KHL Youth Ice-Hockey Tournament began on April 20 in Omsk at the Avangard Club rink and Omsk Arena. There are 12 clubs competing in the Tournament’s East Group in Omsk, and we already have some interesting results.

The game between Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) and Yamal (Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous District) was the first shootout. The Urals team won by 10:0 and their goal was kept inviolate by Kirill Dymshakov (24 minutes and 22 seconds) and Alexander Smolin (20:38).

Chelyabinsk Traktor met with Yugra from Khanty-Mansijsk and the northerners lost with a score of 13:2. The game produced the Tournament’s first hat-trick and four goals in a row: Chelyabinsk forward Ivan Volgin shot four pucks, one more than his teammate Danil Khalezin, who scored three times.
