Today on the infotainment programme Dobrai ranitsy, Belarus (Good Morning, Belarus) on Belarus 1 TV channel, the chairman of the Gazprom Neft Cup organizing committee Alexander Dybal told viewers about Europe’s largest youth hockey tournament, being held for the first time in Minsk.
“Minsk was interesting for us because it has excellent hockey infrastructure, and a great hockey tradition,” said Alexander Dybal. “The support for this type of sport comes from the highest government levels. In addition, it’s easy for foreign clubs to get to Minsk.”
Alexander Dybal said that at the Gazprom Neft Cup opening ceremony in the capital of Belarus, there were about 5,000 people in the audience, and he congratulated Dinamo Minsk on their victory over St. Petersburg SKA. He also invited everyone to watch the remaining group stage games and the closing ceremony, for free.
The final game and the closing ceremony for the West group will be held in the Chizhovka Arena tomorrow, April 22.
