The organising committee of the tournament has made the now-traditional decision that entry to the arenas on the days of the group stage games will be OPEN. Tickets to the opening ceremonies, the multimedia shows, and the opening games in Sochi and Omsk on April 20 can be obtained for FREE. In Omsk, you can collect these tickets from the box office of the Omsk Arena (35 Lukashevicha street), and in Sochi you can book them on kassir.ru, the tournament partner, and collect them at its retail points.
Hockey fans attending the Bolshoy Ice Dome and Omsk Arena facilities on the opening day will be treated to Gazprom Neft Cup’s traditional huge, beautiful multimedia show.
In Sochi, the program has been prepared by specialists who worked on the opening ceremony for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Before the official opening ceremony, tournament guests will be entertained by popular Russian DJ Leonid Rudenko, whose musical stylings were also part of the winter Games in Sochi, and a supporting team of cheerleaders.
In the Bolshoi Ice Dome and Omsk Arena halls, from 17:00 and 17:30 respectively, there will be programs to entertain hockey fans of all ages. Special stages will host animation zones, where guests can get facepainting done, visit the Cup photo exhibition, play air and table hockey, and take part in drawings for valuable prizes, including a tablet and a game console.
Before the opening game there will be a show entrance of the teams, presenting the best skating elements traditional for similar shows of the professional teams in the KHL. In the main duel of the evening on April 20 in the West Group, current tournament champions Dynamo (Moscow) will meet two-time Gazprom Neft Cup winners CSKA (Moscow), while in the East Group two-time tournament winners Avangard (Omsk) will play one of the favourites, Ak Bars (Kazan).
The finals for the West and East Groups, as well as the awards ceremony for the group stage winners will be held on April 22 in the Bolshoy Ice Dome and Omsk Arena.
The Super Final of the Gazprom Neft Cup will be held on April 24 at the Omsk Arena facility. The biggest game of the tournament will feature the winners of the West and East Groups against one another. Super Final guests will be treated to a celebratory concert program with popular Russian performer Yegor Krid. Part of the closing ceremony will be the solemn presentation of the Cup to the winning team in this tenth anniversary year.
The Gazprom Neft Cup KHL International Kids Hockey Tournament is one of the most significant children’s hockey competitions bringing together teams of children aged up to 11. In 2010, the competition was brought under the aegis of the KHL and since 2012, the tournament has held international status.
In 2016, the 10th anniversary Gazprom Neft Cup will be held in two cities: the East Group playing by tradition in the Omsk Arena in Omsk, and the West Group playing for the first time in the Olympic host city of Sochi, in two arenas, the Bolshoi Ice Dome and the Iceberg Skating Palace. The tournament will include 26 teams from five European countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, and Finland).

As always, all major expenses for conducting the tournament, including room and board for the teams, transportation, organising the opening and closing shows, holding the games, advertising and media coverage, the prize fund and souvenirs, holding training seminars for coaches and an excursion program for the teams is completely paid for by the company Gazprom Neft.
The level of organization of the Gazprom Neft Cup is unprecedented for a children’s tournament: the games are managed by professional KHL referees and played on ice arenas certified for KHL matches, the tournament action is covered by leading sports media. The ultimate trophy of tournament (the Gazprom Neft Cup) is produced by the same craftsmen as the Gagarin Cup (the most important hockey trophy in Russia). Every year, following completion of the tournament, the name of the winning team is engraved on the cup and retained by the new champions until the next tournament. Cup holders in the years since the Gazprom Neft Cup received its status as the official KHL children’s tournament have been Avangard (2010), Ak Bars (2011), Traktor (2012), CSKA (2013, 2014), and Dynamo (Moscow) (2015).
The multimedia opening show is on a level with shows opening leading KHL club games. The opening ceremony and the Super Final of the tournament are broadcast live on KHL-TV. The tournament’s official partners include the leading Russian sports channel Match TV, the European Media Group broadcasting holding, the Internet site Championat.com, and Sport-Express newspaper.
