Following the draw for the XII Gazprom Neft Cup, participants found out in what order they will be crossing sticks with their group opponents. The Group stage games will begin on 20 April. The battle for the playoffs will commence at 9:00 local time in Omsk, when tournament newcomers Admiral Vladivostok take on one of the Gazprom Neft Cup greats — Kazan’s Ak Bars. Hitting the ice at the same time will be Khabarovsk’s Amur and Avtomobilist from Ekaterinburg. The draw sees another newcomer — Jungadler Mannheim — facing off first in the West Group. And the Germans will have their work cut out for them with their first opponent — SKA St. Petersburg. In the parallel game, Sochi will be testing their strength on their home ice against Moscow Region’s Vityaz. The playoffs begin on 22 April, and by 23 April the Group winners will be known. The Super Final will then take place at Omsk Arena on 25 April. Guests can look forward to a concert programme starting at 15:30 local time, followed by the 16:30 game that will decide the final winner of the continent’s most prestigious kids’ ice-hockey trophy!
