Tender for Selection of a Company for Design Development of the Okhta Centre’s First Stage Extended for One Month16.03.2007Prequalification of tenderers for selection as potential contractors for design development and construction of the Okhta Centre complex first stage has been extended by one month.
According to Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Gazprom Alexei Miller the project attracted enormous interest: bids were tendered by 37 companies from 24 countries of the world “in all continents except Australia”.
”However, considering that many companies are in the process of selecting partners and creating consortia and that some companies with worldwide reputations simply did not sufficient time to submit their bids we have entertained their requests to postpone the deadline”, Alexei Miller pointed out.
The change in the tender deadlines will have no impact on the complex construction schedule and the first stage is expected to be commissioned in late 2010 as originally planned.
