A City Festival in Honor of the First Victory of the Russian Navy Held with Financial Support from JSC Gazprom Neft21.05.2007A festival in commemoration of the first Russian naval victory was held in the city with a financial support from JSC Gazprom Neft.
On May 20 the city festival in honor of the first Russia’s naval victory won at the Swedish fortress of Nienshants in 1703 took place on the Sverdlov Embankment in St.Petersburg.
In commemoration of those events in the past a festival mottoed “Unheard-of Things Happen” was organized with financial support of Gazprom Neft. During the festival’s activities spectators were shown a theatrical military and historical performance where professional stuntmen and actors participated as well as took part in a carnival, contests and sports events. The most active participants were awarded with commemorative medals with the inscription “Unheard-of Things Happen”.
