Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker, operator of the Gazprom Neft bunkering business, has increased 2015 first-half retail sales of marine fuels by three percent, to 1.57 million tonnes. Total sales volumes of marine fuels over the six months matched those of last year, at 1.93 million tonnes.
The Far East and Black Sea regions witnessed the most significant growth in bunkering activities, with the company also increasing fuel supplies through its own international division, in Estonia. The company’s domestic market share in the first half of 2015 rose to 20.9 percent.
Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker now operates at 19 sea and 13 river and estuary ports throughout Russia, as well as the international ports of Constanta and Tallinn. The company’s directly owned tanker fleet, comprising nine bunkering barges, is not subject to any limitations in terms of its area of operation. All vessels are fully compliant with international conventions, and are fully licensed for the loading and unloading of hazardous freight.
Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker CEO Andrei Vasiliev commented: “Our company’s strategic priorities remain unchanged — that is, developing our own fleet and terminal network, and strengthening relationships with partners through further service improvements. The first half of 2015 has seen us actively working on both current and long-term projects, allowing us not just to secure positive operating results, but also bringing us closer to the achievement of our long‑term objectives.”
