Gazprom Neft begins supplying bitumens to Israel and Bulgaria
Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials, operator of the Gazprom Neft bitumens business, has made its first deliveries of Russian-produced bitumen materials to Israel and Bulgaria.
Deliveries of BN 70/30 construction bitumens, to be used in roofing and insulation works, have been made to Israel.
Bulgaria has received deliveries of polymer-bitumen binders* for the construction of motorways forming part of the European Transport Corridor, connecting Bulgarian logistics centres with the Middle East and Asia.
All of which have been produced at the Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YaNOS) facility and the Gazprom Neft bitumens plant in Ryazan. The company also produces bitumens at its other facilities, at the Omsk and Moscow Refineries, and at the Gazpromneft Bitumen Kazakhstan plant, with both traditional and polymer-modified bitumens meeting Russian and international quality standards. Goods are sent to market in high-technology packaging allowing seamless long-haul delivery by any means of transport.
Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials CEO Dmitry Orlov commented: “The company’s strategy centres on achieving technological leadership of the Russian bitumen materials market. And a key indicator in moving towards this, we believe, is growing demand —not just in Russia, but also abroad — for bitumens produced by Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials. Demonstrating that we are not only producing goods fully compliant with international standards, and matching international equivalents, but also that we are offering consumers European standards of service.”
Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials (Gazpromneft BM LLC) is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, specialising in the production and sale of bitumen products. Established in October 2014, and leading the domestic market, the company achieved sales of 1.8 million tonnes of bitumen materials in the same year.
With production facilities located in Moscow, Omsk, Yaroslavl and Ryazan, as well as Kazakhstan and Serbia, the company produces road, construction and roofing bitumens, as well as polymer-modified bitumens and binders (specifically G-Way Styrelf), and a range of emulsions and fillers. Gazprom Neft uses a variety of transport solutions to ensure the supply of bitumen materials throughout Russia, the CIS, and abroad. The company’s facilities in Omsk, Yaroslavl and Ryazan are equipped with specialist packaging production lines allowing the transportation of bitumen products throughout the country’s most remote and inaccessible regions.
*Polymer—bitumen binders are based on traditional bitumens, with the addition of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) polymers and a plasticizer. Polymer—bitumen binders demonstrate better quality in comparison with traditional bitumen, including greater resistance to warping, better endurance under extreme temperatures, and greater resistance against deterioration.
