In 2014, the Company continued to work on increasing its utilisation of associated petroleum gas (APG). Upgrades of the flare facilities and re-routing of APG streams made it possible to increase utilisation volumes and reduce total pollutant emissions by 17% compared to 2013.
In 2014, the Company also switched completely to producing fuels compliant with the Euro-5 standard, with environmentally advanced fuels accounting for 100% of total output.
Total water consumption for industrial, domestic, drinking and other needs came to 157.6 million m3 overall for the company, including 141.2 million m3 consumed by production companies, 15.8 million m3 by oil refineries, and 0.6 million m3 by other oil service companies.
Oil-contaminated land reclamation by Gazprom Neft in 2014 totalled 385.95 hectares.
Not counting affiliates, the Company spent RUB 3,843.5 million on environmental protection in 2014.
The ratio of waste generation to waste utilisation at the company was 0.78 in 2014.
