Regional Partnership Programmes

Gazprom Neft regularly partners regional administrations to implement joint social programmes and projects. The Company believes that priority areas of regional cooperation should involve initiatives to develop cultural and social infrastructure in the regions it operates in, and support healthcare, education, and development for children and young people.

In 2010, Gazprom Neft signed social and economic agreements with the authorities of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO), Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO), Omsk, Tomsk, Orenburg and Leningrad Regions with an investment total of 1,213.6 million roubles.

That same year Gazprom Neft implemented the following social programmess, in the regions in which it operates:

  • financing of regional programmes to develop an agricultural complex, protection of local nature, reconstructing public utilities, housing construction, repairing and providing equipment for social facilities,
  • support of the IX international film festival “The Spirit of Fire” Opens in new window,
  • organising the World Chess Olympics in KhMAO,
  • construction of a two-apartment residential building in the village of Variegan for the indigenous families of the North,
  • aid to the Tarsky District for repairing the district polyclinic building, the Tarsky art school building and Lozhnikovo secondary school.

In 2010, the following opening ceremonies were held: the Chess Academy in Khanty-Mansiysk (KhMAO), Zenit Sports and Fitness Centre in the village of Purpa in Purovsky District, and multifunctional gymnasium Zenit in Muravlenko (YNAO). Other projects currently progressing are the construction of sports and fitness complexes in Noyabrsk and Tarko-Sale (YNAO).
