Gazpromneft Bitumens to help train highway engineers at the Ryazan Institute
Gazpromneft-Bitumens has concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with the Ryazan Institute (a branch of Moscow Polytechnic University) on the professional training, re-training and continued professional development of qualified specialists in the road construction industry — the signatories to the agreement, signed during the VII cross-industry “Bitumens and PMBs: Current Issues 2018” conference, being Gazpromneft-Bitumens CEO Dmitry Orlov and institute director Igor Murog.
The agreement envisages a new speciality — «Highways Construction» — being made available within the institute with effect from 2018, with the active involvement of the Gazpromneft-Bitumens Science and Technology Centre, the academic programme for which is intended to train highly qualified personnel in highways construction and usage, as well as in working with one of the most important components of asphalt mixes — bitumen binders. The project will be implemented jointly by Ryazanavtodor and other leading road-building organisations in the region, supported by the regional office of the Ministry of Transport. Graduates completing the programme will be able to undertake on-the-job training and secondments at laboratories within the Gazpromneft-Bitumens’ Science and Technology Centre, working on the latest cutting-edge equipment, with the opportunity of subsequent employment.
The agreement also envisages joint educational and R&D projects, the holding of seminars and colloquiums, and the organisation of and participation in scientific conferences.
