The «Management of the Future» conference provides a forum offering students — having successfully passed a multi-stage selection process — the opportunity of meeting representatives of leading Russian companies. It is traditionally held at the Mikhailovsky Dacha campus at the St Petersburg State University Higher School of Management.
Employees from Gazprom Neft’s Human Resources and Corporate Culture and Business Development and Offshore Government Regulation departments held the «New Oil» seminar as part of the conference, with company representatives outlining the company’s business and approaches to asset evaluation, as well as arranging a «business case» for participants to solve. The most active participant, having solved all tasks attached to the business case, was offered a secondment in the Business Development and Offshore Government Regulation Department, with the most motivated students, also performing well in solving the business case, being invited to take part in the selection process for secondments to the company’s Corporate Centre in 2018.
Conference participants — the best students at various higher educational establishments throughout the country, having completed several rounds of a competitive selection process — gathered in St Petersburg for the three-day event. The «Management of the Future» conference is designed to create a community of highly qualified managers, interested in building their careers in Russia. The main topics for expert discussions this year were the digital economy and innovation, socially responsible enterprise, and companies’ digital transformation, with the event involving lectures, master-classes, panel discussions, a «case championship» involving leading Russian companies, and a job fair.
