Gazprom Neft launches the first ever accelerator programme for law school graduates
Gazprom Neft has launched a unique programme, «On Your Marks!» for first-degree and masters» law school graduates — the core objective of the programme being to engage young specialists in working on important projects within the company’s legal function, with no limitations in terms of geography and opportunities for self-fulfilment. Graduates will, during the course of the programme, have the opportunity of working at no fewer than three Gazprom Neft assets in various cities, for a period of eight months at each, and of taking part in addressing ongoing legal cases relating to specific aspects of the business, following which young professionals will present their projects and could have the opportunity of continuing their career with the company.
Invitations to take part in the programme were offered to graduates from law faculties at leading higher educational establishments in St Petersburg, Moscow, Tomsk, Tyumen and other cities.
The «On Your Marks!» progamme was presented to students at St Petersburg State University»s law faulty on 4 June, with the best students being selected to work at company enterprises shortly thereafter.
Roman Kvitko, Head of the Gazprom Neft Legal Directorate, commented:«Gazprom Neft has been working with St Petersburg State University since 2014, investing in educational activities, specifically in the «Legal Regulation in Natural Resources Management» masters programme. We were the innovators behind the launch of the pilot «On Your Marks!» programme in 2018, the objective of which is — finding employment for the best students. We face ambitious tasks in LegalTech, including, specifically, in automating operations and implementing cognitive technologies in legal consulting. Bright, intellectual and talented law faculty graduates will get the chance to prove themselves on a legal digital project, and we will be expanding our talent pool. A partnership like this with a higher educational establishment is something we can only be proud of.»
