Digital technologies being developed for education and training at Gazprom Neft’s corporate university
Initiated by Gazprom Neft’s corporate university, the first on-campus, face-to-face session of the Digital Learning community (education involving the use of interactive digital technologies) took place in Moscow on 16 March at the Moscow City Government University of Management, bringing together more than 70 active community members.
Participants were given the opportunity to meet in person and take part in professional discussions. The community’s expert group selected several cases for discussion, with participants determining the community’s mission and outlining next steps for development in the final part of the session.
The Digital Learning community is, currently, the largest open online professional community in electronic education, bringing together more than 500 people. Its establishment in January 2018 was initiated by employees at Gazprom Neft.
The objective of the Digital Learning community is to simplify and promote experience sharing, new ideas, and developments in electronic education and, more broadly, in digital learning. The rapid development of electronic education and diverse online formats has presented companies with a large number of new challenges, demanding immediate solutions. Companies, higher educational establishments and digital learning service providers now need to collectively discuss issues, ideas, and practical steps. The Digital Learning community is designed to create that opportunity, bringing market players together through an accessible and convenient platform. The Gazprom Neft corporate university, moreover, which is responsible for developing professional groups and communities within the company, has been able to test development mechanisms in designing this professional community, based on an actual — and independent — example.
Gazprom Neft’s corporate university is responsible for implementing and synchronising digital solutions within the company. It was among the winners at the 2017 Crystal Pyramid HR awards, nominated in the «Digital Transformation» category, as well as being one of the top three companies nominated for «Corporate University of the Year».
