Gazprom Neft is developing its sales network in two key areas — retail and small-business sales of motor fuels, as well as supplying oil products to industrial clients.
The company sold 43.48 million tonnes of oil products in 2017, consolidating its sales growth in high-margin light petroleum products including motor fuels (+0.5%), aviation fuels (+4.5%), marine fuels (+14.6%) and bitumen materials (+22.1%).
Gazprom Neft has one of the most extensive and geographically diverse sales networks in Russia’s automotive fuels retail market. As at end-2017 the Gazprom Neft retail network comprised 1,255 stations throughout Russia. In addition to this, the company also operates 188 stations in the CIS (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic) and 423 under the NIS Petrol and GAZPROM brands in South—East Europe (Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria and Romania).
In order to ensure optimum sales efficiency, Gazprom Neft’s premium sales channels operate across various standalone business areas, with sales of aviation fuels conducted through Gazpromneft-Aero, marine fuels through Gazpromneft-Marine Bunker, lubricants through Gazpromneft-Lubricants, and bitumens through Gazpromneft-Bitumens, all of which operate throughout Russia, the CIS and beyond.
The overriding strategic objective in Gazprom Neft’s retail operations is ensuring
