Gazprom Neft has now arranged more than 520,000 COVID-19 tests for employees
Gazprom Neft has now arranged more than 520,000 COVID-19 tests for employees since the start of the pandemic, both within the company and at contracting organisations, at all locations in which it operates. All investigations have been undertaken as part of the company’s “Barrier Programme”, through Rospotrebnadzor licensed laboratories.
Alongside the company putting in place “buffer zones” providing temporary accommodation and medical services for personnel, the Barrier Programme forms part of an integrated solution to ensure “clean production facilities” throughout the company’s upstream assets, under which only employees with negative COVID-19 tests are cleared for entry to fields. A range of initiatives directed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 at the company’s refining facilities has also proved highly effective.
Regular COVID-19 tests are also provided for office-based personnel every seven to 14 days, with a negative test result being a mandatory prerequisite for employees being cleared to enter their usual place of work.
