Gazprom Neft’s G-Drive Racing project supports Russian motorsports. As part of the project, Gazprom Neft sponsors G-Drive Racing, which is competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 class as well as in the new European championship, the Blancpain Sprint Series (previously the FIA GT Sprint).
G-Drive is a next-generation fuel available at Gazprom Neft filling stations. This premium fuel contains additives that increase engine power by up to 12%, improve acceleration by up to 1.8 seconds, and offer first-rate protection for engine fuel systems.
The Blancpain Sprint Series (BSS) is a new European championship which until 2014 was known as the FIA GT Sprint. It consists of seven stages, each of which includes qualifying laps and the main race. There are two drivers per car, who switch over halfway through the race.
The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) is one of the five largest world series held by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), alongside Formula 1. The championship features eight stages spanning three continents: Austin (USA), Spa (Belgium), Le Mans (France), Silverstone (UK), Sao Paolo (Brazil), the Kingdom of Bahrain, Fuji (Japan), and Shanghai (China). The 24 Hours of Le Mans, a WEC stage, is one of the three most prestigious races in the world alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix. Over 310,000 spectators cheer on the drivers at Le Mans every year.
