Gazprom Neft is one of Russia’s leading producers and suppliers of bitumen products, actively developing this business sector since 2008.
The company’s key production facilities are based in the Moscow, Omsk, Yaroslavl and Ryazan Oblasts, as well as in Serbia and Kazakhstan. The company’s refining facilities produce road, construction and roofing bitumens, as well as polymer binders and bitumen emulsions.
Gazpromneft-Total PMB LLC is a joint venture between Gazprom Neft and Total (in which both parties hold an equal interest), for the production of PMBs and emulsified bitumen and their sale on the Russian domestic market. Production facilities are located within the Gazprom Neft Moscow refinery.
A subsidiary of JSC Gazprom Neft, the Moscow Refinery has a total annual production capacity of 12.15 million tonnes per year, producing automotive fuels (gasoline), diesel, marine and aviation fuels, heating oils, high-octane additives for automotive fuels, benzines, bitumens and gases for various applications. The Moscow Refinery has been the centre of a major modernisation programme since 2009, total investment in which will, by 2020, reach more than RUB130 billion.
Modernisation of the Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery has included a variety of major projects which have allowed the plant to significantly reduce its environmental impact. Construction of enclosed mechanical treatment facilities has allowed a six-fold reduction in the emission of refining by-products into wastewater. Construction of a sulphur recovery unit will allow hydrogen sulphide emissions to be reduced
