Gazprom Neft corporate responsibility web-site recognised at 2014 RuNet and Golden Site awards

The Gazprom Neft „Rodniye Goroda (Home Towns)” corporate social responsibility (CSR) site was a laureate at the recent RuNet 2014 awards, nominated under the „State and Society” category.

Winners were selected by a jury comprising experts in information and communications technologies, senior management from various companies, and public figures involved in the development of the Internet in Russia.

The RuNet Awards, established in 2004 by the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RACE), and the Coordination Centre for TLD RU/ РФ, are made every year for achievements in information technology and the Internet. Awards are made across six categories — „Government and Society”, „Culture, Media and Mass Communications”, „Science and Education”, „Economics, Business and Investment”, „Health, Entertainment and Relaxation” and „Development of Regional Internet Projects.”

The Home Towns portal was also awarded a special prize at the annual Russia-wide „Golden Site 2014” awards, for a „Socially Significant Issue-driven Project at the Federal Level”.

The „Golden Site” awards are the longest-standing in Russia, recognising the country’s best-developed Internet sites since 1997. The competition this year was organised by the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RACE) and ratings agency Ruward, with more than 1,200 Russian sites competing.

The Gazprom Neft Home Towns CSR site (www.rodnyegoroda.ru) was launched in April 2014, containing content on socially significant projects implemented by the company throughout those regions in which its operations are concentrated.
