Gazprom Neft 2014 exchange sales of oil products reach 2.5 million tonnes

Exchange sales of Gazprom Neft oil products reached 2.57 million tonnes in 2014, an increase of 11 percent on last year, with the company selling 996,000 tonnes of gasolines, 612,000 tonnes of diesel fuels, 589,000 of heavy heating oil (mazut) and 370,000 tonnes of aviation fuels.

As in previous years, Gazprom Neft’s 2014 year-end results place it among the top three Russian oil companies in terms of exchange sales; the company increases the volumes of its exchange sales by an average 10 percent every year.

Gazprom Neft is actively involved in the development of exchange trading in petroleum products, and was one of the co-founders of the St Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX). Gazprom Neft was the first company to initiate the registration of OTC transactions on the exchange, and in 2013 became the first company in the market registered on SPIMEX for OTC sales of crude oil. The company registered more than 19,300 OTC sales in 2014, comprising more than 12 percent of the total volume of OTC transactions registered on SPIMEX last year.
