Production of Euro-5 gasolines up more than 11 percent Q1–Q3 at Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery

Production volumes of Euro-5-standard gasolines at the Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery are up 11.6 percent year-on-year for the first nine months of 2015, to 3.2 million tonnes. Production of Euro-5-standard Regular-92 gasoline showed the greatest growth, up 15 percent to 2.16 million tonnes. Production of diesel fuels reached 4.82 million tonnes. All diesel production at the Omsk Refinery is consistent with Euro-5 standards. Total refining volumes in the first nine months of 2015 reached 16 million tonnes, matching the level achieved in the same period in 2014.

Results for the first nine months of 2015 show refining depth at the Omsk Refinery increasing to 93.56 percent. On the basis of which performance, indicating as it does efficiency in raw materials management and the technological efficiency of the refining process, the Omsk Refinery is the undisputed leader within the Russian refining industry. Production of light oil products was up 1.5 percent on the first nine months of 2014, amounting to 68.6 percent of total production. These improved figures are the result of increased refining of stable gas condensate — a valuable gas-derived chemical added to crude oil to improve performance, and used in the production of light oil products. The commissioning of a gas-condensate reception terminal has seen volumes of stable gas condensate refined at the Omsk Refinery increasing three-fold year-on-year in the first nine months of 2015, reaching 981,000 tonnes. Total capacity at the terminal is 1.2 million tonnes of gas condensate per year.

Reference

The Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, is one of the most advanced refining facilities in Russia, as well as is one of the most significant in terms of total refining volumes. With a total installed capacity of 21.4 million tonnes (including one million tonnes of gas condensate), the Omsk Refinery is one of the top twenty largest refineries in the world.

The main technological processes used at the Omsk refinery are deionisation and dehydration of oil, crude oil distillation, catalytic cracking, sulphuric acid alkylation, catalytic reforming, isomerization, hydro-refining of gasoline and diesel fuels, and production of aromatic hydrocarbons

The Omsk facility produces in the order of 50 types of oil products, including high-octane gasolines, diesel and marine (bunkering) fuels, aviation kerosene, bitumen, household gas, heavy fuel oil (mazut), industrial sulphur, and other products consistent with market demand. The Omsk Refinery is the only such facility in Russia producing catalysers for catalytic cracking.
