Gazpromneft Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been involved in aircraft refuelling and the “wing-tip” supply of aviation fuels since 1st January 2008. Gazpromneft Aero has been an aviation-fuel strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008. The company leads the Russian aviation fuels market in terms of retail sales volumes. The company’s operational activities are fully compliant with the highest safety standards in fuelling operations — “Green”. The company provides aviation refuelling services at more than 200 airports throughout 60 countries.
The Gazpromneft Aero alternative refuelling facility is part of a wider refuelling complex at Sheremetyevo International Airport, Moscow. All equipment and technology at the facility is fully automated. Storage facilities include four reservoirs, with a total capacity of approximately 18,000 square metres, a Perrone refuelling point with a 300-metre-per-hour flow-rate, and more than 20 tankers. The facility also includes a laboratory, fitted with the latest equipment, allowing the physical and chemical properties of fuels to be determined according to Russian (GOST) and international (ASTM) standards. All technology and equipment at the facility is fully automated, and the complex equipped with a unique water treatment system. Purification levels are 6 mg per litre vis-à-vis mechanical contamination, and 1 mg per litre in respect of oil products: sufficient to meet the standards required for fisheries.
