The Gazprom Neft Science and Technology Centre, Novosibirsk State University,* and the Novosibirsk “Akademgorodok” TechnoPark** have signed a strategic partnership agreement on scientific and research activities (R&D) and educational projects — an initiative allowing them to combine their joint scientific potential in developing cutting-edge domestic technologies in oil and gas.
The Gazprom Neft Science and Technology Centre, the Akademgorodok TechnoPark and Novosibirsk State University will cooperate in science and technology (R&D), design and engineering, and training, including, in particular, collective involvement in developing knowledge-driven innovative technologies, which is expected to involve holding various seminars, conferences and symposia involving leading Russian and international partners.

It’s important that the signed document includes specific plans for joint work by all parties.”
The Gazprom Neft Scientific and Research Centre (NTC)
The key areas of activity at the Gazprom Neft Science and Technology Centre (NTC) are the development of new technologies in oil production, engineering and the expert evaluation of hydrocarbon exploration and production projects; design, analysis and monitoring of oilfield development and geological exploration activities; geological and hydrodynamic simulation; and engineering support and the operational supervision of drilling operations. The Gazprom Neft Science and Technology Centre is the only such facility in Russia combining scientific research, the development of oil production technologies, and the remote control and management of high-tech production processes. The NTC includes a unique “GeoNavigator” Drilling Control Centre through which, supported by modern technologies and equipment, the company remotely controls drilling operations at all of its high-technology wells in Russia and abroad.
*Novosibirsk State University is the only classical higher educational establishment in Russia, and one of the leading national research universities, forming part of the scientific and educational complex of the Novosibirsk Oblast. The total student population numbers 7,000, including more than 1,400 international students.
