Sales of supplementary goods and services up 9.8 percent across the Gazpromneft filling station network in 2018
Income from sales of supplementary goods and services throughout the Gazpromneft filling station network were up 9.8 percent in 2018, reaching RUB17 billion. Coffee, as before, remained the most popular purchase, with income from sales of hot drinks up nine percent in 2018, at more than RUB3 billion. More than 29 million cups of coffee were sold throughout the company’s directly owned stations and partnering stations — a seven-percent increase, year-on-year. An average 75 cups of coffee are sold under the G-Drive brand every day — the record for the number of hot drinks sold at a single station in one day stands at 1,026 cups.
The company’s own-brand products also proved increasingly popular, with G-Drive energy drinks proving the absolute sales leader here: sales of own-brand energy drinks accounted for more than 50 percent of energy-drink sales throughout Gazpromneft filling station retail outlets. The Gazpromneft filling station network also collaborates with leading Russian retail chains in selling its own-brand goods.
Alexander Krylov, Head of the Gazprom Neft Retail Sales Network, commented: “Sales of own-brand products at filling stations are coming to the fore in the current fuel-retailing market; and improving the efficiency of the business as a whole depends on success here. Supplementary goods and services now cover more than 80 percent of the running costs of Gazpromneft filling stations”.
