Gazprom Neft Wins Antitrust Offense Case in Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region

Today the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region has invalidated the acts issued by Federal Antimonopoly Service against Gazprom Neft in respect of the charge brought against the Company for abuse of dominance in the oil products wholesale market in the first half of 2009 (the decision and order on abuse in the oil products market, and a fine enactment at the rate of 4.675 bln. rubles).

The court considered all facts of evidence presented by both parties to the full extent. By virtue of all and every arguments analysis, the court arrived at the conclusion that the acts issued by FAS in respect of Gazprom Neft were illegal and unsecured.

Thus, in accordance with the results of the case proceedings, the Arbitration Court adopted a decision to satisfy the claims asserted by the Company and cancel the acts issued by FAS.
