The official opening of an engineering center built jointly with the Japanese company Yokogawa was held on 3 December at the Omsk oil refinery.
The center’s main tasks are to provide technical support for the Yokogawa equipment and computer programs that have been installed at the Omsk oil refinery and also to train specialists from the Omsk oil refinery to work with the new Japanese equipment.
The opening of the engineering center became one of the stages in the implementation of the strategic partnership agreement between JSC Gazprom Neft and Yokogawa Electric Co, signed in July of 2008.
Yokogawa is a world leader in the production of control instrumentation and automatic process control systems. The Japanese company’s equipment has been widely used at the Omsk plant since 1995.
