Gazpromneft-Aero Started to Fuel Aircrafts at Murmansk Airport

On May 12 new fuel-servicing complex Gazpromneft-Aero Murmansk, a subsidiary of JSC Gazpromneft-Aero, started operation at Murmansk Airport.

Establishment of the new fuel-servicing complex will allow Gazpromneft-Aero to increase the share of retail sales. The enterprise has already concluded cooperation agreement with a number of major Russian airlines such as Aeroflot-Don, Aeroflot– Nord, Sky Express, Russia State Transport Company.

Technical equipment and safety characteristics of Gazpromneft-Aero Murmansk comply with all Russian industry standards. The company holds compliance certificates to provide aircraft operations with aviation fuel and to control quality of aviation fuels and lubricants issued by the Federal Agency of Air Transport. Gazpromneft-Aero Murmansk includes a laboratory for fuels and lubricants quality control, the only laboratory in the Kola Peninsula certified by the Federal Agency of Air Transport.

TC-1 aviation fuel will be delivered to Murmansk from YaNOS Refinery.

In 2007, total volume of aviation fuel sold in Murmansk Airport made about 20,000 tons. However, significant increase in sales volume is forecasted for the future due to the commencement of work on development of Shtokman field.

In 2008-2009, Gazpromneft-Aero plans to aggressively develop the new fuel-servicing complex which will result in considerable investments.
