New Stage of Nationwide Advertising Campaign for G-Energy Oils Commenced

Gazprom Neft has initiated a new stage of its large-scale advertising campaign for G-Energy oils, starring Jason Statham, the famous English actor.

The spring launch of the nationwide G-Energy advertising campaign will be conducted under the already famous slogan – "Adapting to Any Situation". Broadcasting of G-Energy oil commercials will begin on national television channels from March 15, 2011. It is planned that the campaign framework will see G-Energy oil commercials appearing in commercial modules during TV broadcasts of the Hockey World Championship, UEFA Europa League matches involving Russian teams and Euro-2012 qualifiers involving the Russian national football team.

The G-Energy oil advertising campaign starring Jason Statham also envisages outdoor advertisement in thirty-three Russian cities, where the main Gazprom Neft premium brand oil distribution points are located – Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and others – as well as G-Energy radio-commercials and print media advertisements.

G-Energy is the first motor oil that adapts to the different operating conditions of the car engine, activating the necessary additives at just the right moment. This unique adaptive quality is reflected in G-Energy brand positioning - "Adapting to Any Situation". This phrase is a slogan for the new G-Energy oils advertising campaign.

Jason Statham's screen image, familiar to Russian viewers thanks to such films as "Transporter", "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" matches the active and dynamic image of the G-Energy brand. Moreover, Jason Statham is one of the few actors, whose image is closely connected with motorcars. Jan de Bont, the Hollywood filmmaker behind such worldwide box office hits as "Speed" and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider", directed the G-Energy advertisement.

The advertisement was shot in Prague between July 25 and July 28, 2010. At the same time as the filming, a photo shoot was performed with Jason Statham for the key visual materials of the advertisement campaign – billboards, print layouts for media, materials for retail shops displays and so on.
