Drilling Commenced on Severo-Yangtinskoye and Chatyljkinskoye Fields

CJSC Servisnaya Burovaya Kompaniya commenced drilling on two new areas in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District – on the Severo-Yangtinskoye and Chatyljkinskoye oil fields.

All necessary machinery and equipment was brought to the fields by winter roads back in April. At present specialists of Servisnaya Burovaya Kompaniya are completing construction of oil production facilities.

It is planned to drill about 30 wells on the Severo-Yangtinskoye field with six wells to be completed by the end of this year. The average drill depth will measure 3,000 meters. According to geologists’ recommendations it is allowed to apply a so called combined development method involving both horizontal and vertical drilling. It is expected that the Severo-Yangtinskoye field will produce large volume of oil in 2007.

The first oil at the Chatyljkinskoye field is scheduled to be produced as early as in June 2006. The oil produced will be pumped to the Yarainerskoye field by a pipeline which is presently under construction.

Both oil fields will be developed by JSC Sibneft-Noyabrskneftegaz.
