The G-Drive Racing team by Signatech Nissan, a partner of the Gazprom Neft's branded premium fuel G-Drive and oil G-Energy , took third place at the "Six Hours of Silverstone" race. The competition was held on August 26 in Great Britain as part of the four-stage WEC-FIA World Endurance Championship.
For the crew of G-Drive Racing, this race followed the "24 Hours of Le Mans" marathon in June, where the team, headed by Russian driver Roman Rusinov, placed fourth in the LMP2 class. In all, eight stages have been planned in the championship. The team faces another four races: in Brazil, Bahrain, Japan, and China. Just as in the previous stages, Nelson Panciatici and Pierre Rag will be the Russian driver's partners.
"We're getting better and better with each stage of the championship. In Le Mans, we were fourth, but in Silverstone were on the stand. Participating in car races lets us demonstrate the improved performance characteristics of G-Drive fuel," said Gazprom Neft's Regional Sales Director Aleksandr Krylov.
"Taking third became possible, first of all, thanks to a great teamwork of all our guys. Secondly, neither the mechanics nor the drivers made a mistake. Once again we proved our excellent athletic form, and we're ready to repeat our success at the next race, which will take place quite soon in San Paulo," said Roman Rusinov, driver for G-Drive Racing by Signatech Nissan.
