Gazprom Neft acquired Ravninnoe field

On December 26, 2007 JSC Gasprom Neft closed transaction to purchase Ravninnoe field situated in the south-western part of the Krasnoselkup District of Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Area.

The current retrievable deposits of oil of C1 grade of Ravninnoe field are 5.5 millions of tons, of С2 grade – 1.7 millions of tons. The reserve potential of the licensed area will allow to increase the reserves by another 5 millions of tons after prospecting and exploration work.

JSC Sibneft-Noyabrskneftegas will be the license holder and operator of the field. Pilot operation of Ravninnoe field will be started in 2008; maximal production level is planned to be reached by 2011.
