Gazprom Neft Aero Sales Reached 2.5 mlm tons in 2011

In 2011 Gazprom Neft Aero managed to retain its leadership by volume of jet fuel sales on the Russian market, with the company’s share making up 28% of the total supply of aviation fuel in the country. The company’s total sales of fuel reached 2.5 million tons, of which 1.6 million tons were sold through retail, a 54% increase over 2010. Gazprom Neft Aero also expanded its presence overseas in 2011, beginning refuelling operations in Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.

The number of airports where the company operates increased from 18 to 48.

Also in 2011, Gazprom Neft Aero launched a refuelling complex at Ulyanovsk-Vostochny international airport, and completed the construction of an alternative refuelling complex at Sheremetyevo Airport.

In 2012 the company plans to focus on improving its organisational structure, automation of business processes, modernisation of existing refuelling complexes and construction of new ones.

The company’s CEO Vladimir Egorov, stated: “In 2011 Gazprom Neft Aero took a big step towards implementing its long-term development strategy. In the future we plan to consolidate our leading position in the Russian aviation fuel market and further expand our presence abroad.”

The company’s development strategy includes a significant increase in production indicators by 2020. Gazprom Neft Aero plans to increase its sales to 5 million tons, of which 3 million would be sold through retail, as well as expand its presence to 100 airports.
