Gazprom Neft subsidiary Gazpromneft-Vostok has commissioned its Shinginskaya gas turbine power plant (the Shinginskaya GTPP), with a nominal capacity of 24 MW.
Construction of the plant will increase the value of the associated petroleum gas (APG) utilised, and improve the viability of developing the Shinginskoe field as well as other industries in the Kargasoksky and Parabelsky districts.
The power plant will use approximately 70 cubic metres of APG from the Zapadno-Luginetsky, Nizhneluginetsky and Shingingsky fields, allowing a significant increase in Gazpromneft-Vostok’s beneficial usage of APG.
The GTTP has been built using the latest technology (in full compliance with all workplace and environmental safety standards) with the involvement of domestic (Russian) contracting organisations and equipment suppliers.
Vadim Yakovlev, First Deputy CEO, Gazprom Neft, commented: “The commissioning of our own generation facilities allows Gazprom Neft to make optimum use of APG at the Shinginsky group of fields. The construction of cutting-edge energy infrastructure is further improving the economic viability of our enterprises.”
Gazpromneft-Vostok operates in the Tomsk and Omsk Oblasts. The company holds subsoil usage rights to six licence blocks: the Shinginsky, Zapadno-Luginetsky, Yuzhno-Pudinsky, Archinsky, and Urmansky blocks, as well as the south—west section of the Krapivinsky field. Production at Gazpromneft-Vostok totalled 1.79 million tonnes of oil equivalent (mtoe) as at end-2015.
