On September 10, Gazprom Neft launched a new, motorsports-inspired advertising campaign for its premium-class G-Drive fuel on national television channels. The advertising aims to underscore the fuel's enhanced performance, which allows a car to demonstrate increased power, better acceleration, and gives the engine a professional protection.
The choice of motorsports as a concept for G-Drive fuel's advertising campaign is linked with the promotion of Gazprom Neft's international G-Drive Racing initiative, designed to support motorsports and Russian athletes participating in well-known world racing series. As part of the initiative, Gazprom Neft is supporting the team called G-Drive Racing by Signatech Nissan, which is performing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The crew took fourth place at the legendary "24 Hours of Le Mans" marathon. This is the best standing Russian drivers have ever achieved at Le Mans.
The endurance race is shown in an advertising clip for G-Drive fuel-in reverse, from the finish line to the starting line. The competition takes place day and night, in any weather. Power, performance, and reliability are expected from a car in such conditions. At the end of the clip, the effect is carried over to ordinary road conditions, in which a car running on G-Drive fuel transforms into a race car.
Sales of premium G-Drive fuel were launched in December 2010 at Gazprom Neft's network of filling stations in the northwestern region of Russia. G-Drive fuel is presently available at Gazprom Neft filling stations in all of the key regions where its retail network is operating.
The advertising campaign on national television will be supported by outdoor advertising and spots online, the radio, and on leaflets at filling stations in 13 key regions in Russia in which the company is operating.
