Gazprom Neft Lubricants has opened a representative office in Kazakhstan.The key objective of the new branch is to develop sales in Central Asia, building an effective distribution network as the main channel to promote company brands, as well as to provide technical and marketing support to industrial enterprises and retail clients.
The company has been supplying lubricants to Kazakhstan since 2008. Today Gazprom Neft Lubricants is the absolute leader in the Kazakh lubricant market, holding a 44% share. Their product lines in Kazakhstan are Gazprom Neft oil and grease for industrial applications and SibiMotor motor oil; in 2011 they also began distribution of G-Energy motor oil in the country. The work undertaken by the representative office in Kazakhstan will be primarily aimed at increasing sales of premium products: until recently the bulk of sales in the region were liquid oils in accordance with GOST standards; however, since last year Kazakhstan has seen a rise in the sales of premium industrial and automotive lubricants.
In addition to developing the market in Kazakhstan, the representative office also has the task of promoting products in the markets of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Mongolia.
ООО Gazprom Neft Lubricants is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, specialising in the manufacture and sale of oils, greases and fluids. The company owns production facilities in Western Siberia (Omsk), the European part of Russia (Yaroslavl) and Western Europe (Bari). In 2010, total production of Gazprom Neft Lubricants amounted to over 430 thousand tonnes.
