One June 1, Gazprom Neft employees, acting in a volunteer capacity, organized a charity adventure game entitled "City of Adventure" in which 160 children from Leningrad Oblast orphanages took part.
This is the third such event organized by Gazprom Neft volunteers jointly with the Saint Petersburg charity fund Aprel ("April"). This time, the event was held as an adventure field trip. Over thirty groups traversed a specially prepared route, in the process solving riddles on the geography and history of Saint Petersburg and performing special tasks. By means of the game, the children, who live in distant areas of Leningrad Oblast, were able to find out more about the city of Saint Petersburg. Event participants included children from Kalozhitsky, Nikolsky, Vyborgsky, and Lakhdenpokhsky orphanages, as well as Volosovskaya Boarding School located in the village of Khudanki.
After the game, a ceremonial luncheon was held, at which Gazprom Neft employees handed gifts to the children, including games, sporting goods, and art kits.
Gazprom Neft is consistently developing corporate volunteerism. Since the company's central office moved to Saint Petersburg, the company has begun working with the Aprel charity fund and the orphanages of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast.
