The Gazprom Neft Board of Directors has reviewed information on the performance of the company’s aviation refuelling business, and prospects for further development.

Gazpromneft-Aero has established an extensive network in its 10 years in operation, with 66 sales outlets at airports in Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic, including 46 directly owned aviation refuelling complexes. Total investment in expanding and modernising the Gazpromneft-Aero sales network between 2017 and 2018 stands at RUB25.8 billion.
Gazpromneft-Aero’s geographic presence abroad now includes 210 airports in more than 60 countries. Aircraft refuelling for Russian and international carriers at airports abroad is undertaken in partnership with the leading fuel suppliers on local markets. Gazpromneft-Aero clients currently include more than 190 aviation companies, including Russian market leaders Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, and Volga-Dnepr, and leading international carriers including Lufthansa, Emirates, Air France and KLM.
Flight safety is the overriding priority in Gazprom Neft’s development of its aviation refuelling business. All refuelling complexes operate under technical regulations in line with the most stringent Russian and international standards in aviation refuelling, with Gazpromneft-Aero’s businesses having been awarded the highest ratings by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Gazpromneft-Aero is one of the international aviation refuelling industry’s technological leaders, with the company successfully developing and introducing unique digital services including “smart” contracts, facilitating reciprocal payments between airlines online, with no need for prepayments or bank guarantees, and no financial risk for the parties of a transaction.
Under its long-term business development strategy to 2030 Gazpromneft-Aero is committed to becoming one of the top-10 leading companies on the international aviation refuelling market, expanding its international sales network to cover 350 airports, and increasing direct sales of aviation fuels to 5.3 million tonnes per year.
