Gazprom Neft sales of high-tech bitumens up 30% in Q1 2020

Gazpromneft-Bitumen Materials, operator of the Gazprom Neft bitumens business, sold 26,000 tonnes of premium high-tech products (polymer—bitumen binders and bitumen derivatives) in Q1 2020 — a 31% increase year-on-year. Sales of basic bitumens reached 489,000 tonnes.

The company increased deliveries of bitumen materials in its trademark Clovertainers® throughout Russia’s regions in Q1 2020 — these being special cubic containers that guarantee the preservation of bitumens’ specific quality and performance features. Clovertainer® packaging volumes were up 36% in Q1 2020, at 55,500 tonnes. Using this innovative packaging facilitates multimodal transportation, improving cost-effectiveness and ensuring year-round supplies.
