Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov and Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov have signed a five-year Cooperation Agreement, with the company and the Okrug committing to work on improving the region’s investment climate, on stimulating R&D and innovation, and on environmental protection programmes.
Gazprom Neft will continue to support the development of energy and road infrastructure in the Tazovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, with construction of a high-voltage transmission line from the Tazovskoye field to the village of Tibey-Sale planned. The company will also supply gas to residents in the Tazovsky and Gaz-Sale settlements, while gasification of the Novy Port settlement in the Yamal District is also planned. A further joint project will involve repairing the access road to the Gaz-Sale settlement. Gazprom Neft will continue to supply petroleum products for community and social services, and to support the functioning of essential support services throughout the Okrug.
The company supports sports, educational, cultural and ethnographic projects in the Krasnoselkupsky, Nadymsky, Purovsky, Tazovsky and Yamal districts of Yamal. This new agreement also envisages the company financing the construction of social facilities in Noyabrsk and Muravlenko.
The company’s “Home Towns” corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme ensured construction of the new Avangard ice centre and Polar sports complex in Labytnangi in 2019. Construction of one of the largest multifunctional ice palaces in Siberia — the Yamal Arena remains ongoing in Salekhard, supported by Gazprom Neft.
“Gazprom Neft is implementing its most important upstream investment projects in Yamal: the Novoportovskoye and Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye projects. We are continuing construction of gas infrastructure under the Gas Yamal project. We expect to start commercial production at the Tazovskoye field in 2021, and are also preparing to start developing Neocomian-Jurassic deposits at the gigantic Bovanenkovskoye and Kharasaveyskoye fields, investment in which will reach hundreds of billions of rubles. Gazprom Neft’s new upstream projects, together with social initiatives under our Home Towns programme, are a major factor in the region’s development, and are establishing the groundwork for improving quality of life for Yamal’s residents.”Alexander Dyukov Chairman of the Management Board, Gazprom Neft
“I am grateful to Gazprom Neft — and to Alexander Dyukov, personally — for their responsible social policy, and their commitment to the Yamal region. The company is particularly committed to developing sport. Thanks to our partnership, new sports complexes and swimming pools have been built in Labytnangi and Noyabrsk, as well as a further pool in Tarko-Sale: multifunctional sports facilities have also been opened throughout the entire Okrug. Under this new agreement the company will continue supporting social projects, paying particular attention to the Tazovsky district, where a new production cluster is being developed. Modern, reliable energy and transport infrastructure is being put in place though the company’s support.”Dmitry Artyukhov Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug
