Gazpromneft-Aero commences supplies to Yamal Airlines abroad

Gazpromneft-Aero and Yamal Airlines have signed their first ever agreement for the refuelling of the air carrier’s flights abroad. The contract will run for the duration of the 2016 summer season. Refuelling operations have begun at the international airports of Rimini (Italy), Podgorica and Tivat (Montenegro), Heraklion (Greece), and Catania (Sicily), to which Yamal Airlines flies direct from Moscow and St Petersburg. Total volumes of fuel supplies to November 2016 are expected to exceed 2,500 tonnes.

Gazpromneft-Aero undertakes aviation refuelling services for Yamal Airlines in partnership with national aviation fuel suppliers ENI (Italy), Jugopetrol (Montenegro) and EKO (Greece). Gazpromneft-Aero plans to further expand cooperation with the aviation carrier in the future.

Yamal Airlines is currently expanding its international route network to Europe’s most popular tourist centres.

«Consistent with traditionally higher demand for air travel in the summer season, Gazpromneft-Aero is set to expand cooperation with air carriers at international resort airports. Commencing international refuelling operations with Yamal Airlines opens up a new stage in the history of our partnership. Collaborating with fuel suppliers — leaders in the local refuelling market — directly means we can guarantee our clients a consistently high level of service».
