Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation refuelling business, has concluded a new long-term agreement for “wing-tip” refuelling services for regular flydubai flights at Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan — allowing the company to increase deliveries to that airline by 50 percent, to more than 370 tonnes per month.
The airline will operate flights on the Dubai — Bishkek — Dubai route, on Boeing
Gazpromneft-Aero is a market leader in the domestic refuelling of airlines from the countries of the Persian Gulf, supplying fuel for regular Emirates flights out of Domodedovo and, from 2014, commencing cooperation with Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways.
Gazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov commented: “Gazpromneft-Aero’s total refuelling volumes for UAE airlines reached more than 43,000 tonnes in 2014. We plan to further extend our cooperation with airlines from the countries of the Persian Gulf, as well as further strengthening our position as the market-leading aviation fuel supplier on the Russian market.”
Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been in business since 1 January 2008, specialising in aircraft refuelling and the “wing-tip” supply of aviation fuels. Gazpromneft Aero has been an aviation-fuel strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008. Gazpromneft Aero holds a leading position in the Russian market in terms of total sales volumes of aviation fuels. The company’s use of technology ensures its full compliance with the highest standards in refuelling operations, i.e. “Green”.
In 2013 Gazpromneft Aero was certified by the Emirates airline as delivering the highest standards in the services offered, and in the quality of its aviation fuel. Gazpromneft Aero has operated out of the Manas airport since 2011. In 2012 the refuelling complex at this airport successfully passed an inspection by IATA, as a result of which its refuelling facilities have been accorded the highest possible status for quality, allowing it to provide refuelling services to the most significant air carriers, without any restrictions.
Established by the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2009, the flydubai airline is based at Dubai International Airport. The airline’s route network covers over 80 destinations worldwide, including the countries of the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Africa and Eastern Europe. The company operates regular flights to a range of Russian cities including Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Mineralnye Vody, Samara and Ufa.
