JSC Gazprom Neft to supply bunker fuel to ships used in Sochi Olympics

Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker, the operator of JSC Gazprom Neft’s bunkering business, has been accredited to supply bunker fuel to cruise liners housing client groups, spectators, and staff during the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi from January 7 to March 21, 2014.

Fuel will be supplied by the company’s own modern bunker tankers operating in the Black Sea area, namely the Gazprom Neft West, the Gazprom Neft Zuid West, and the Gazprom Neft Nord East. The ships meet the requirements of international conventions and have all the necessary permits and licenses.

In June 2013, Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker became the first of the Black Sea region’s bunker suppliers to receive authorization to work at the Port of Sochi.

According to Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker CEO Andrey Vasiliev, “the fact that our company was chosen as a supplier of bunker fuel for cruise ships during the Olympics in Sochi is yet another confirmation of Gazprom Neft Marine Bunker’s reputation as a reliable partner providing high-quality services. The Olympics are a high-profile global sporting event. We wish participating Russian athletes great victories and hope that they will set new records!”
