Following an agreement signed with Glovis Rus LLC, one of Russia’s largest logistics companies, Gazprom Neft Corporate Sales has become fuel supplier for the official transportation company of Hyundai and Kia cars and spare parts. With its hauliers using the Gazprom Neft fuel card for cashless fuel sales, the company is expected to buy in the order of three million litres of fuel every month — enough to cover approximately 8.5 million kilometres of freight transportation.
Cashless payment with the Gazprom Neft fuel card allows clients to manage when and where they refuel, and to set limits for each vehicle. Clients can also obtain detailed information from the company website, online. Vehicles can be refuelled at 2,300 Gazprom Neft and partner filling stations throughout Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe.
Dmitry Guzeev, CEO, Gazprom Neft Corporate Sales, commented: “Cashless payments allow better efficiency in business processes, thanks to better control over transport operations, and lower fuel costs. Added to which, the fuel and services provided are guaranteed to be of high quality.”
Glovis Rus CEO Kong Teayoun added: “Our partnership with Gazprom Neft B2B Sales allows us to maintain our leading position in the automotive market, with manufacturers able to offer better prices for vehicles thanks to reduced transportation costs”.
Gazprom Neft Corporate Sales — a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft — manages the sale of fuels, motor oils, and services to corporate clients through fuel cards used throughout the Gazprom Neft filling station network. The company’s clients include federal and municipal government agencies, transport and/or logistics companies, major retail chains, and taxi companies. A system allowing cashless sales for corporate entities through the Gazprom Neft fuel card was introduced at the end of 2008. As at 2014 the number of fuel cards in active use for refilling stood at 520,000.
