Omsk Oil Refinery Increases Fuel Production in IH 2011

In the first half of 2011, the Omsk Oil Refinery increased the volume of oil procesing to 9.9 million tonnes, an increase of 7.6% compared to the same period last year.The facility produced over 2 million tonnes of petrol and 3.1 million tonnes of diesel fuel, respectively 18% and 8% higher than the first half of last year.

Between January and June 2011, the Omsk Refinery saw the production of 711.6 thousand tonnes of jet fuel, a 1.2% rise compared to the first half of last year. The volume of bitumen production for the period amounted to 226.5 thousand tonnes, which represents a 32.5% increase over the same period of last year.

At the end of May 2011, the Omsk Refinery became the first in Russia to process its billionth tonne of oil.

Omsk Oil Refinery is Gazprom Neft’s largest processing asset. In 2010 ,the volume of oil processing reached about 19 million tonnes. The refining depth in 2010 amounted to 83.27%, among the best in the industry.
