Output of Moscow Oil Refinery Reaches Record High in August

Gazprom Neft's Moscow Oil Refinery Open a new window increased the volume of refining to a record level in August 2012 and hit the 1.06 million tons mark, which is 6.3% more than the last year figure.

In the first eight months of 2012, the Refinery’s output amounted to 7.58 million tons, which exceeds the results achieved in January-August 2011 by 3.2%. Light oil products yield grew by 2.1% to 4.28 million tons. The Refinery produced 1.5 million tons of high-octane gasoline, which also exceeds the production figures of the same period in 2011. The volume of jet fuel grew by 2.3% to 470,000 tons.

In April 2012, nearly three years ahead of the deadline established by the Technical Regulations, the Moscow Oil Refinery transitioned to the production of high-octane, EURO-4 gasoline.

An ambitious program to modernize production facilities is currently underway. The program is designed to improve the quality of the oil products, increase the refining depth, and improve industrial efficiency and the environmental impact. In 2012, investments to modernize the Moscow Oil Refinery, as part of the medium-term investment program approved by Gazprom Neft, will exceed 20 billion rubles.
