Gazpromneft-Aero has completed the current stage in the reconstruction of the Tolmachevo Airport Fuel Facility in Novosibirsk. During this phase of upgrading the 2nd Fuel Receiving Facility, which began in September 2009, two storage tank areas with a total area of 7,970 square meters were refurbished and pipelines constructed. New equipment meeting the modern standards and requirements in aviation fuel storage and handling was installed.
Preparations for the next reconstruction phase are currently underway. The phase will include installation of three underground storage tanks. It is planned to complete this work by the end of 2011.
Overall, the modernization of Gazpromneft-Aero’s Fuel Storage and Fueling Systems in Novosibirsk’s Tolmachevo Airport is scheduled to be completed in five years. The first stage of the reconstruction was completed in the summer of 2009. As part of that phase, a fuel discharge pump station, one of the most technologically advanced in Russia today, was put in operation.
