Moscow, July 1, 2004. Sibneft today announced the appointment of Olga Pokrovskaya as the company’s Head of Corporate Finance. Ms Pokrovskaya replaces Richard Creitzman, who has left the company to pursue new opportunities.
Olga Pokrovskaya previously served as Sibneft’s deputy CFO and head of the group responsible for U.S. GAAP financial reporting, which will now be rolled into a reorganized Corporate Finance Department and led by Andrei Kopytin. Ms Pokrovskaya will also oversee CorpFin’s existing departments for investor relations, international media relations, and risk management, as well as a new division dealing with trade export finance to be headed by Galina Molodtsova.
A native of Moscow, Ms Pokrovskaya graduated with honors in 1991 from the Moscow Finance University and is a certified Russian auditor and CPA. Prior to joining Sibneft in 1997, she worked for six years at international accounting firm Arthur Andersen.
“Olga is well-known to our colleagues in the finance and investment communities from our financial results presentations,” said Sibneft president Eugene Shvidler. “Her track record in ensuring Sibneft’s high level of financial transparency will provide reassurance to banks and investors.”
